About This Role

As a remote Parts Technician II, you'll play a key role in keeping customers and service teams running by managing spare parts orders from request through fulfillment. In this role, you'll coordinate with internal teams and suppliers, monitor order progress, and proactively follow up to ensure parts and service jobs are completed accurately and on time. You'll make sound decisions independently, communicate closely with the Parts Manager, and continuously look for ways to improve processes that enhance efficiency and deliver a better customer experience.

What You'll Do

  • Manage spare parts orders and work with other departments to determine root cause and resolution. Work with outside vendors/contractors gain resolution when necessary. Schedule shipment of parts determined from service calls. Verify and maintain all spare parts documentation based on established customer service procedures and practices.
  • Assist the supply of necessary information and materials for personnel assigned to service support prior to the departure of the employee to the service support. Review and maintain all documentation for completion and process proper forms with the Accounts Payable/Receivable department. Return all unused parts, hardware, equipment, etc.
  • Maintain policy that if Acieta built equipment and in production at customer's site is down, it receives highest priority attention for service unless instructed otherwise by Acieta management. Keep the Parts Manager informed daily of customer complaints or dissatisfaction.
  • Process orders from customers and create spare part quotes.
  • Follow all established customer service procedures and practices.
  • Provide Engineering, Manufacturing, and Acieta management of findings significant to design or development of improved or new products. These may range from excerpts of trip reports to specifically written memos or oral conversations and must include any performance or functional problems or product quality concerns.
  • Utilize various software programs available within Acieta to assist with computer utilization goals of the company.
  • Other duties as may be assigned that are trained for and qualified to do.
  • Adhere to company’s safety policies to create a safe work environment for employees.

What You Bring to the Team

Education and/or Experience: Associate’s degree or equivalent preferred with three years related parts job experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Formal or on the job training in all Microsoft Office applications including but not limited to Word, Excel, etc.

Experience in ERP or other MRP business system computer management software and inventory control interface for use in performance of key job functions.

Experience with Epicor is a plus.

Experience in Creo/CAD/SolidWorks is preferred. Ability to use and communicate clearly and professionally using company e-mail system.

Language Skills: Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical information, financial reports, and legal documents.

Ability to respond professionally to common inquiries or complaints from customers.

Ability to communicate in a courteous and professional manner with all internal departments and external customers and suppliers to address all issues related to the execution of the parts order fulfillment process.

Ability to relay and report information to management in a clear and concise manner. Regular use of telephone to receive calls and place outgoing follow up calls and status back to all customers and suppliers, and ability to multi-task.

Technical drawing: Proficient in reading and interpreting assembly drawings and Bills of Material (BOMs).

Mathematical Skills: Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to calculate and prepare quotes to comply with department and company established ratios.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.

Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.

Ability to seek and explain issues to technical experts and resolve issues.

Licenses and Other Requirements:

  • Must be at ease working with others of essentially equal or even greater technical expertise and experience of an effective manner.
  • Must be able to make independent, advanced and technological decisions while maintaining communications with department managers to complete projects and assure customer satisfaction.
