System Components
Two FANUC Arc Mate series robots operate in parallel on large tank structures, maximizing throughput.
Robotic touch sensing locates weld joints automatically on each tank, compensating for part variation and fixture tolerances without manual programming.
Real-time laser seam tracking guides the robot along each weld joint continuously, maintaining consistent torch position and weld quality across long seams on large tank structures.
A sustained welding speed of 25 inches per minute delivers the throughput needed to complete large tank weldments at production volume.
