System Components

The press brake is one of the most common pieces of manufacturing equipment, yet until recently it was considered a manual, and costly, operation.

  • The system is built around a FANUC M-900ib heavy payload robot, capable of loads up to 1500lbs.

  • Providing a seventh axis of movement, the RTU extends the system’s working envelope.

  • The system automatically swaps between multiple custom vacuum-grip EOAT solutions to handle 45 different parts.

  • Proper orientation of every sheet is ensured by a gravity blank alignment table.

  • A Mitsubishi Diamond BH Series hybrid press can deliver up to 250 tons of bending force along its 13' bed.
