Dual Robotic Heavy Case Palletizer
Heavy Cases. Secure Handling.
Acieta designed a robotic palletizing system for KanPak that handles 41 lb cases at 12 cases per minute. They system features a custom EOAT managing both cases and dunnage across two pallet build locations and integrated stretch wrapping in a single end-of-line cell.
Benefits
Dual Pallet Formation
Two pallet build locations allow the system to simultaneously palletize different products, maximizing cell utilization.
More Ergonomic
Automating the handling of 41 lb cases frees KanPak's workforce from one of the most demanding tasks on the production floor.
Simpler End-Of-Line
A single EOAT handles both cases and dunnage, and integrated stretch wrapping completes the pallet build automatically.
12/min
Sustained Throughput of 41lb Cases
System Components
A FANUC M-410iC palletizing robot provides the speed, payload capacity, and reach needed to handle 41 lb cases at sustained production rates across dual pallet build locations.
Custom end-of-arm tooling with independently controlled clamping zones secures cases of varying sizes and configurations firmly during high-speed palletizing without damage to product or packaging.
Support flanges on the EOAT stabilize heavy cases during transfer and placement, preventing shifting and ensuring consistent, accurate stack placement on every cycle.
A single multipurpose EOAT handles both product cases and dunnage layers without tooling changes, keeping the cell running continuously through full pallet builds.
Two simultaneous pallet build positions allow the system to palletize different products at the same time, maximizing throughput and cell utilization across KanPak's product range.
Automated stretch wrapping is integrated into the end-of-line cell, applying consistent film tension and wrap patterns to completed pallets without a separate manual wrapping operation.
